Angkor National Museum
The new flagship museum on the road to Angkor is a showcase for the sculpture and culture of the Khmer civilisation. An ultra-modern art space, this museum uses the latest technology to bring the ancient Khmer empire to life. The collection is themed by period, religion and royalty and includes the impressive Gallery of 1000 Buddhas, inspired by Preah Poan at Angkor Wat.
Cambodia Land Mine Museum & Relief Facility The Cambodia Landmine Museum has evolved from a small shack set up by a former soldier and deminer into a formal museum and charitable organisation. The museum exhibits a variety of defused mines, bombs and other ordinance as well as information on mines, demining and Cambodia’s ongoing landmine problem.
Siem Reap War Museum
This museum is set in a beautiful garden and displays a wide variety of military hardware and equipment taken from the battlefields of Cambodia and laid to rest here just a short distance from town. Heavy armor including T-54 tanks, anti-aircraft guns, artillery pieces, rocket launchers, APCs, small arms and piles of disarmed mines, bombs and small arms are on display. Local veterans from the conflict are on hand to show you around and share their experiences with you.
